The Chasm, Fiordland National Park, New Zealand.

To those of you who have visited NZ, and in particular Milford Sound, you may have stopped along the way and had a look at the Chasm. From the viewing platform/footbridge you don't see the waterfall itself. The view is just a look down on warped rocks and circular holes formed by water channeling through from the fast flowing Cleddau River.

Heres a different view :)

Not happy with the exposure, its quite dark and I've tried to get rid of as much noise as I could, its not bad though. Going back for another shoot of the area soon.

- EDIT -

As I mentioned above, I wasn't impressed with the exposure so I was planning on a trip to re-photograph the falls, and here it is :)

Enjoy!

That's crazy. That looks almost exactly like Avalanche Gorge in Montana, USA [link]

Very lovely, love the wetness and shine of the rock in the foreground. I've been lucky enough to be into Milford a few time, but have never had a camera with me :( I think a trip in the near future should be in my planning.

Yes love Doubtful Sound, went past Manapouri with work the other day and text my wife straight away saying that we so have to plan a trip soon into Doubful Sound. Last time I was there was about 20 years ago with a school trip. Damn we are lucky to live in such a beautiful country.
