Moonrise over the Humboldt Mountains. Taken at 9:55pm, this was the very last shot I took from up at the Key Summit before heading back down to the carpark at the Divide. Any remaining colours soon diminished as the sun dipped further below the horizon and on the way back down the track, my Dad spotted several possums, had this been a hunting trip we would have done our bit for conservation, can't have them destroying NZ's pristine environment... pity we were only armed with our led lensers!!
